The conference will also include four plenary panels. The following invited researchers/practitioners will each lead a panel (supported by two other experts), on the themes below. The panel will be 90 minutes (roughly 60 mins presentation and supported by 30 minutes of discussion).
- Mike Solly (British Council) – Language(s) for resilience: Inclusive responses to language needs for refugees in the Syria crises.
- George Androulakis (University of Thessaly, Vólos) – Migration and schools: Policies for primary and secondary education in Europe.
- Francis Giampapa (University of Bristol) – Migration, language learning and Identities: Insights into researching multilingual contexts.
- Angela Creese (University of Birmingham) – Translanguaging: Teaching and Learning in the City.
